- six flags over texas (Arlington / United States)06.May 2016
Its not all fun and games at six flags if you work there! Food was hellacious that they offered at the canteen, very overpriced. You had a discount to ride the rides, but are worked so much that when you take a day off you would rather not go to the park to ride the rides, as the people working there where rude or jealous you where riding the rides enjoying yourself etc. I was told they where flexible with work/life balance, but when following up with this promises, I was denied and eventually demoted to a lower position because I had other obligations at university to study and not work(which was very clear from the day they hired me!) So instead of firing me, they demoted me to general park photographer instead of working in the studio. I had to stand in the 100+ degree weather in the heat of summer, taking photos of people coming into the park, for minimum wage, standing on my feet the whole day no sitting allowed even if the park was dead, being watched over like a hawk from upper management. Fake as fake can get!
Support from Management
The boss was never around, the manager was younger then I was, with little to no work experience, everyone did their own thing and was blamed for others failures. A joke to call it leadership..
