Poor and getting worse!
Support from management
No one stays beyond 3 years. Average life-span of COO or VP's is less than 12 months.
Intermediate managers try hard to work together. Senior managers are not trustworthy.
Freedom to work independently
You are autonomous until needed to be thrown under the bus. New plant managers every year because no one can deliver the over-commitments made by President
This is a "need to know" company.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Look around, virtually no one in management past 60
The constant turn-over provides opportunity.
Overall compensation for your work
Very little consistency in salaries. Never count on increases above 2%
Office / Work Environment
poor working conditions for hourly employees during seasonal surges when even the number of bathrooms is adequate.
They re-cycle to save money
President believes he can call you on Saturday night and the work will be ready Monday AM.
Ok among customers. Very poor in the local labor markets.
The average time on the job at both plants is less than 3 years. Reno has been in operation for 9 years.
as required by law.
Lots of effort to be safe. Very high incident rates
It could be a good place under competent leadership.
Inclusive / Diverse
Company will hire anybody to fill a slot! Turn-over can exceed 100% among hourlies.
Suggestions for improvement
- Hire a competent senior management team in Seattle. To many people have left that were proven leaders in other companies. Even remaining managers are all looking for better opportunities.
What I like about the company
It has such great potential. Premium Brands needs to step in and replace top leadership.
What I dislike about the company
Where's the next person to blame! Upper management is constantly throwing others under the bus to protect themselves.
