Support from management
my manager is barely there, and only is to reprimand us. I received no proper training although i did receive proper scolding when I did things incorrectly.
we work together as a team because we all fear the same thing.
Freedom to work independently
there is only freedom because the manager does not care.
corporate makes sure the managers and associates know what is expected, but further down the line, management does nothing to ensure that it happens, unless corporate pays a visit
Attitude towards older colleagues
the store is mostly teenagers looking for extra money, save for the manager. there is a very low power distance since to us, she is just another Skechers worker, working a dead-end job. except she gets paid more. she cares about her job no more than we do, though

no opportunity to become full-time for fear of having to pay proper benefits
Office / Work Environment
clean, but only if the manager tells us to do so
absolutely no recycling bin, no care for the environment
flexible schedule, although i do dread going to work
the manager does not care enough to fire anyone. it's not as if she has a plethora of employees to schedule from
it is literally making customers feel good about what they are buying. nothing more, nothing less.
Inclusive / Diverse
it is diverse in that there are lots of minorities, but it is not literally diverse. the majority of my store is minorities
Suggestions for improvement
- the manager should care more, do things when corporate does not breathe down her neck. also, the associates and store managers should stop coming to work high.

the minimum wage paycheck i receive biweekly
