Support from management
Management is minimal, and employee complaints and requests were never taken care of. Employees were expected to work completely alone on all shifts. Management did very little in regards to employee safety and satisfaction. There were many times when employees were not compensated for over time worked.
There was very little opportunity for team work and management did not discipline employees who did not do their share of what was expected.
Overall compensation for your work
Pay is barely above minimum wage. Overtime is not paid. You can work 60 hours a week and not get overtime pay. There are no benefits such as health care or paid vacation or even sick leave. Management will cut hours for no reason.
Management does not care about your personal life. No vacation time is provided and you do not have the option to take holidays off. There is also no special pay for working on holidays ( including Christmas, thanksgiving, ect.) And you are required to work alone on these days. Management does not care if you have other obligations and responsibilities. You are expected to show up for both scheduled work time and unscheduled work time if management needs you. I have been harassed by management into coming in on my scheduled time off simply because management did not want to be there. Your time will be taken advantage of.
What I dislike about the company
Management is very unprofessional. There are no perks or benefits and management does play favorites. I did not feel safe while working at the sleep Inn, there are no precautions in place for the safety of the employees.
