- Smart Pain Management15.Dec 2015
The company does not trust anyone. They really go out of their way to make people feel bad
Support from management
Corporate Management is verbally abusive and they do not assist in the growth of employee careers.
The providers are very nice and easy to work for but corporate is not honest and no direct interaction. They do not ask opinion or thoughts and if you speak up they will get rid of you.
Freedom to work independently
The work load is not fair. Employees are moved from location to location or from one position to another without asking the employee. No real training provided so when the employee does not do good at the position, they blame the employee
Manager meetings were held to see what they could do to make the staff do more work with less pay. Corporate management never spoke nicely to any employee. The turn over at Smart Pain is extremely high. No one stays there very long.
They treat everyone badly, doesn't matter if you are male or female.
Advancement only given to those of you are related or friends with someone in corporate management. Most have no education or experience in the management position they are in...but they are just related to someone do they were able to move up
Overall compensation for your work
Pay rate is very low starting. Some are not paid much above minimum wage. Health benefits are very expensive so employees can't afford to have. They no longer contribute to or allow a pension/retirement effective December 2015. No Christmas bonus or party. Vacation time was cut in half and your no longer allowed to accrue into the following year.
Office / Work Environment
The office is always freezing. We were not allowed to use the heat. Exam rooms were limited for the amount of patients coming through so the offices always ran behind.
This company does not care if you have a life outside of work. They change hours at the last minute without notice. When there are holidays and the office will be closed one day during the week, they extend hours the other days to make up for being closed. The schedules are so over booked you can never leave on time. Patients are allowed to show up whenever and you are not allowed to turn them away. They will cancel vacations and call you at the last minute telling you to report to a location over an hour from your home.
Very bad reviews on most job websites. Take a look at Glassdoor. The only two good reviews were written by HR department hoping to bring up their rating.
Very unstable company to work for. If you are not a mean person, you will not make it in that company. And you have to be willing to give them all your time
Training for OSHA given, just no proper training for job positions.
Inclusive / Diverse
No support with any ideas other than their own.
Suggestions for improvement
- Make employment changes in upper management/ corporate. l
What I like about the company
The providers are great to work for in the office.
What I dislike about the company
Verbally abusive, no benefits, low pay, no room to grow unless you are related to someone, you can not have an opinion unless it agrees with theirs...if not, your not a team player
