Suggestions for improvement

  • Put more effort into caring for your employees and less about "The Numbers". Everyone knows that that's really what management and upper management cares about. If you take care of your employees then they will take care of you. Morale will but better and thus speed and quality will be better.

What I like about the company

I like that we have a consistent work schedule and that we have holidays and weekends off. I also enjoy that we are aloud to wear earbuds to listen to music, podcasts, audio books, etc. while we work. It's also nice to have free lunch occasionally as a "good job" or for meeting a certain amount of days without a record able accident.

What I dislike about the company

I don't like that there is poor communication overall. I also do not like that supervisors (particularly mine) will talk down to you and/or argue with you instead of listen and try to asses a problem in order to come to a fair agreement. It would also be nice if annual reviews of my performance would be taken seriously and not treated in a "Oh I gotta get this done, so I'll slap this together" kind of way. I also find that management tends to be hypocritical and forgetful, as well as not following through with what they say they will. I do not like feeling stuck in a dead end job and that I can really care less about my work. Obviously I will do my job the best I can and will do it thoroughly and correctly, but at the end of the day, I don't care about my job, nor do I enjoy it in the slightest. This can make for a very miserable person from day to day until Friday afternoon when I am done with the work week. Each day you get a 10min morning break, a 30min lunch break, and another 10min afternoon break. It would be far better if those two 10min breaks were 15min breaks. It's not that much to ask for and really 10min is not nearly enough. Another big BIG problem is how much we are paid. We are an aerospace company. With the amount the company makes a month (which is a great deal) we should be much better compensated, especially the people that are putting in the hard labor on the floor. It's outrageous that the people sitting at a desk all day get paid more than the people actually doing the grunt work.
