- Hire someone who knows how to run a company, be fair across the board, has open communication, knows HR, gives feedback promptly, responds in a timely manner, doesn't play favorites and treats all employees equally, can be placed in a position of trust and confidentiality, knows the business, doesn't judge without knowing all the facts, expresses confidence in the employees knowledge and skill level, hires people based on qualifications, not on who knows who, provides a platform for employees to express themselves without fear of reprisal and hold employees accountable for themselves and their responsibilities in their positions.
