Company summary

Founded in 2006, SolarCity has revolutionized the way energy is delivered--providing homeowners, businesses, schools and governments a more affordable and sustainable alternative to electricity from utilities. As America's largest solar provider, we continue to help people take control of their energy costs and decrease their carbon footprint.

SolarCity is America's #1 full-service solar provider. We make clean energy available to homeowners, businesses, schools, non-profits and government organizations at a lower cost than they pay for energy generated by burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas.

Our approach is to install systems to the highest engineering standards while making the switch simple for our customers. We've revolutionized the way energy is delivered by giving customers a cleaner, more affordable alternative to their monthly utility bill.b01a90178b03e6c94770.jpg

What is special about working for us?

GIVING POWER TO THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST

In 2014, SolarCity founded the GivePower Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing clean, reliable energy to the developing world. GivePower helps create better lives for people in impoverished communities through the power of solar--from improving access to food and water to better equipping health centers to increasing opportunities for students and entrepreneurs.

Attitude towards older colleagues

There aren't too many Managers that are over 40 - most are in their late 20's -early 30's.

Workplace Safety

For the most part, the office is safe, however, there have been a coupe of incidents that should have never occurred. They also need to remove all of the excess office furniture before someone gets hurt.

Inclusive / Diverse

The company is moderately diverse.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Employees should be promoted based on experience and knowledge. There are too many young managers that do not know the law or how to manage effectively. They lack the necessary training to lead a team and it's the employees who suffer.
