Large layoffs occurring for the past several years - mainly being off-shored to India. This leaves a culture of frustration and mistrust.
Support from management
Leadership has no working knowledge of scope and complexity of department functions - very strange management style.
Employees work well together for the most part - sometimes for survival. With little leadership in operations team efforts are critical.
Freedom to work independently
Everyone is very over-worked and stressed. Some confrontation within colleagues as management doesn't listen to recommendations for efficiency steps and appropriate allocation of work flow.
Overall, the employees were not discriminated against for initial hire - but women were greatly discriminated against for promotions.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Company is currently laying off the more senior employees - but by tenure and age - apparent cash flow issues are forcing management to layoff the more expensive employees - which includes tenure and age.
There is no career development going on at present - at least known to current employees - only layoffs.
Overall compensation for your work
Compensation used to be fair and benefits comparable - now benefits are being slashed along with tenured, knowledgeable employees.
Office / Work Environment
Staff newly placed in a space that has no offices, only 2 drawers, and no ability to tack up ideas for flow-charting. Lots of people in a very little space.
Lack of communication at all levels leaves little time for awareness for environmental and social matters.
Layoffs have been many in recent weeks/months/years - leaving those remaining very over-worked and stressed - long hours.
Employees are fearful of their job retention - image is horrible.
Major layoffs occurring due to financial stress. I lost my job for the same reason - it was off-shored to India.
Location in major building does provide accessibility.

Very proud of work output and efficencies brought to position/department - albeit never recognized by management.
Inclusive / Diverse
Management doesn't want any suggestions or employee input - resistant to change.
Suggestions for improvement
- Too late for suggestions - employees are disgruntled and discouraged.
What I like about the company
They have an opportunity to be financially successful and admired by other company peers - but tremendous mismanagement of all resources is hampering their image.
What I dislike about the company
Inability to listen to recommendation from employees as to inefficiencies and respective solutions. Managers don't have "hands-on-knowledge" and are ineffective.
