Suggestions for improvement
- Appoint knowledgeable governing board members that value the District's mission.
The culture is about hoarding information and not disseminating it.
In the groups I've worked in, I've usually been a team of 1 - the only one in the group working with the skill set or on a specific project. There is no team to work with. You are isolated.
As mentioned, you are a team of one so autonomy is pretty much de-facto.
There is a general lack of communication. Top management doesn't communicate, managers don't communicate to their employees, employee's don't communicate with each other. Silo's of information culture.
