Suggestions for improvement
- Cubicals to cut down the noise would be very nice as well as the option to advance academically even if your DNA isn't preferred.
What I like about the company
I love the benefits and the freedom to grow here. This company is not a profit seeking empire so we have time to really do our jobs and provide the best care possible. There is a native preference though, promotions may be denied if an alaska native applies and you're not native, even if the other applicant is less qualified. We also have the 'open office' so there're 90 of us in one long room with no walls or cubicals. The noise levels can be challenging and make it difficult to focus, if that's not a problem for you then great! Upper managment and board memebers do not see themselves as above or superior to anyone. They frequently walk through the different clinics (we're a health center) just chatting and checking in. When there's an issue they're happy to work with you on it and their approach is solution orientated.
