Suggestions for improvement
- Continuity is important--from year to year some traditions should be maintained.
I like about the employer
The people, but as layoffs continued, there were fewer and fewer of them there.
I dislike about the employer
Requests for training always refused, treatment of older workers is horrible, layoffs happen a couple of times a year, old outdated equipment--hardware and software are not updated and replaced as needed--just make it work. Turnover in management has been a major hurdle to achieving goals (there is no continuity). Those frequent management changes make for a very unstable workplace, managers are given too much freedom to treat their direct reports badly, discrimination within groups is allowed to happen, upper management encourages it with their silence. Also, managers need training and supervision with respect to labor laws.
