Suggestions for improvement
- I seriously doubt any suggestions could possibly penetrate the egos of these people.
I like about the employer
Pay was great and the standard perks of being in outside sales. Expensed meals, trips, always moving and rarely in the office.
I dislike about the employer
You must perform despite the obstacles you face. Regardless of what the problems might be.
For example: This particular market is driven by storm work. Primarily hail storms that destroy roofs. You will learn to pray for storms as sick as that sounds. Without storm work you will be competing with lumber yards and other supply houses giving material away below cost just to keep floating. They will lose money and your commissions will suffer greatly. You most likely will be terminated for "lack of performanve", even though you give it 100% and are genuinely liked by your customers. There are other companies in that market that don't treat people like that. They're more patient and compassionate. Notice I use word "market" because it does vary depending on the market. Outside of the Oklahoma City market I'm sure it's different.
