Freedom to work independently
micro management is rampent.
Upper management likes to play games and keep key personel in the dark until the last moment.
On the surface it appears to be correct,but behind closed doors it is not.
Overall compensation for your work
Pay is about average for this area in lumber mfg.
Office / Work Environment
Many people working there feel as if there is a target on their back.
Not as good as it should be.
expect last minute required overtime.
Getting a reputation for asking older experienced people to leave.
If you are young and uninformed
about the business you will do fine
Not a place for a handicapped person to work in an industrial environment. Office staff would be OK.

What I like about the company
steady work, lots of overtime, good insurance, good 401K.
What I dislike about the company
age-ism, management that has little understanding of the work load it expects from it's employees. Insurance and benefits has been getting less for newer workers, than workers grandfathered. Company policies are changed with little or no notice and handbooks are updated when a policy is changed.
