  • The Coding Interview

    The goal of a coding or a technical interview is to spend a little more time trying to solve problems that are difficult to do over the phone. These interviews are typically done in person or through Skype. Whenever possible, we prefer a face to face interview. This also enable us to determine if there is a good social and cultural fit with our team.

    The Phone Interview

    If you’ve been busy solving big problems at your current job, you may not have had a chance to think about how to prepare for a phone interview. Rather than go in cold, take a few moments to make sure that you are well prepped. Getting through this is the first step to being invited to an onsite interview.

  • Establishing Initial Contact

    Once you’ve applied to an opening, you will be contacted by someone on our recruiting team. They will be your guide and friend throughout the interview and on boarding process. Ask them anything and they will give you an honest answer — hiring a cultural misfit is a lose-lose situation for everyone and we want to avoid it as much as you do.

    The Interview Process

    Our interview process starts with a phone interview. This call will be conversational and relaxed. Expect it to last about an hour, unless you need more time to ask questions. We want to go over your prior experience, domain knowledge as well as find out a calls are conversational and typically last twenty to forty-five minutes, with a focus on your prior experiences, domain knowledge, and personal interest in joining SpinSys.

    The Followup

    After the phone interview, we will call you in for an onsite interview or a follow-up Skype interview if travel is a logistical issue. Once all the interviews are complete, expect to hear from us within 72 hours so you can plan accordingly.
