What I like

Working with clients.

What I dislike

Pervasive self-interest in management, scarce time and support given to staff members, abysmal communication until there’s a problem and when that happens you may be out of a job.

Suggestions for improvement

Management needs fundamental restructuring.

Company Culture

Superficially friendly and caring

Company Image

No. Management is only interested in their own self-image and puts little to no care in supporting staff.

Work-Life Balance

Adequate balance.

Overall compensation for your work

None.

Inclusive / Diverse

Not particularly supportive of different ideas.

Workplace Safety

With management so unresponsive it’s concerning what would happen in the time of a crisis.

Teamwork

Management is unhelpful, the rest of the staff are the actually helpful people.

Attitude towards older colleagues

Between staff members it was friendly, between management and staff it was tenuous.

Support from management

Rare to non-existent. Of the required meetings with staff, management either rushed through them without care for individual staff members or engaged in self-indulgent discussion and gossip in group meetings that went well beyond scheduled times.

Office / Work Environment

Adequate facilities.

Job Security

Was terminated out of the blue. The rare instances management met with me they were all positive about my performance, then when a problem occurred that was never brought to my attention they came to the decision between themselves to remove me.

Internal Communication

Terrible communication by management. Supervisors rarely if at all met with staff for scheduled meetings, and when they didn’t there were no follow-ups and no attempts to communicate.

Freedom to work independently

Management left staff to their own devices, both for better and worse.

Former EmployeeWorked at Spiritt Family Services until 2015.

What I like

Working with clients.

What I dislike

Management, insecurities, unprofessional, work gossiping, unstructured. No accountability from managers, supervisors, or administration, just blame staff.

Suggestions for improvement

Hire professional management that really care about helping, not too absorbed in micromanaging and own insecurities

Company Culture

No appreciation of staff or hard work. demanding for budget purposes regardless of staff situation. overlook ethical grounds which makes a stressful staff when dealing with services.

Inclusive / Diverse

Never listen to staffs needs. become upset and irate and unprofessional when staff has an idea or wants to make services better, managers shut down staff very quickly by transferring them out or by coming up with negative things to say regarding staff, eventually having them let go. Management is very insecure with staff and staff growth, or staff having a better vision than them for services.

Support from management

there is no leadership or direction. Gossip, unprofessional, disrespectful to all levels including services.

Internal Communication

No communication, no straightforward instructions, rather talk behind your back and gossip then be evaluated or called in when they want to deal with the situation.

Gender Equality

None
