The values the founder wants you to believe in and to use these values on the guest and your teammates are the values I grew up with. This is what drew my attention to the company. Then I found out by treating the guest and teammates this way the company treats you in the same fashion!!!!!!!
Support from management
My manager just doesn’t like me. I’m older and if that was it I’d give her 5 stars because she accommodates our schedules, has schedules out a month out in advance and doesn’t care if you switch. She has just step over the line by blaming me for things she had done, wrote me up for what others have not been written up for ie no call no show until 2-3 hours later etc!!! I’ve been with this company 3 years never late never called off!!! I’m starting not to care because of other things that are hard to deal with when it comes to my reputation!!!
Working at different salons, Sport Clips is the first place I found a true family. I have heard this a lot!!! It is very true!!!!!
Freedom to work independently
My manager is always calling my Team Leader and telling her things either exaggerated or plain not true. I stick up for myself and my team leader doesn’t take drastic measures but this could hurt my relationship and again reputation. 3 stars because of the fact my Team Leader actually listens to me but has to lecture me because she has to take both of us into consideration!!!
You can talk to your manager or my Team Leader, who is very involved and is very fair!!!
We have a man at our store he is awesome and the men don’t mind !!!!
Attitude towards older colleagues
We are a team!!!
Training is absolutely awesome!!! When someone gets a bad review I feel our manager should show us the review and then help us with what went wrong!!!!!
My manager works extremely well around people’s schedules and she also makes schedules out a month at a time. You get so many days and nights and alternate weekends so you can make money too!!!
Inclusive / Diverse
We are very diverse and have people of different preference working for us. I absolutely love it!
Suggestions for improvement
- The manager should not be always right in the Team Leaders eyes a lot happens when she is not there
What I like about the company
Gordon Logan mission statement of champion values treat other like you want to be treated do your best do it right then in turn the company SHOULD DO THE SAME and unfortunately that’s not the case always
What I dislike about the company
Managers getting away with everything and employee don’t have the benefit of doubt
