The beatings will continue until moral improves.
Support from management
The Service Manager and GM have yelled at employees in front of customers and peers
You are on you own
Freedom to work independently
Survival of the Fittest-the on with the best technician team makes more money.
We did have weekly service team meetings, but one moment you're being told you are a great service writer, then the next moment you are relieved of your duties.
The women were only in the quick lane service area and made a fraction what the main shop service writers made
Attitude towards older colleagues
The longest tenured service writer had been their only 3 years and was terminated for making too much money.
The dealership had 6 different service managers in a 3 year period and every time there was an opening the remaining service writers applied but were never interviewed.
Overall compensation for your work
The pay was great but with the work-life balance in favor of work it was not satisfying
Office / Work Environment
Standing on your feet all day, no stools, no lunch, stay late and working 12-13 hours per day.
We had Yelp reviews and Ford reviews from customers.
All work, work, work and if you happen to take a vacation beware of the wrath from the management team if even one of your repair orders had one little glitch.
I was embarrassed to tell people where I worked, the company has a bad reputation in town from consumers and the automotive community
The company is highly volatile. You job is at risk at any moment. In 3 years, saw 6 different service managers, 30+ different service writers, 50+ different technicians, and 75+ different sales people.
No ramps, no accessibility tools even for customers.
Non-compliant for workplace working conditions
Super challenging but it was always, what have you done for me lately or today attitude.
Inclusive / Diverse
The GM and owners' opinions only matter.
Suggestions for improvement
- Tear it down and start over with new management and ownership.
What I like about the company
The money and the location to my house.
What I dislike about the company
The working conditions, the stress, the management, the ownership, the employees, and the wear and tear on your body and mental state.
