Employees Matter too!
There was some favoritism with management, but the owners always treated everyone equaly and really cared about each of us. I have great respect for those men!
Support from management
No clear chain of command, which can be both good and bad. My manager was an awesome person and we worked well as a team.
There were several teams on their own, then the "management" team. Sometimes the teams would have conflicting goals but mostly they were cohesive.
You need to take the initiative to communicate well and avoid stepping in managements toes, but if you do that, you will do well.
Office / Work Environment
Fun family-like environment. Can be too much if you need a quiet environment. Lots of natural light.
40 hours is standard and there is flexibility in hours.
As a company, I was very proud of what we did. As an individual, I loved my role and felt my contribution helped the company operate better.
Inclusive / Diverse
Very diverse according to the areas the office staff and construction crews worked in. Discrimination was not tollerated. Employees were treated as important individuals.
Suggestions for improvement
- I think the owners are doing all the can and more than needed. I would suggest managers not fearchange so much. Change is a necessary part of growth.
What I like about the company
The owners are respectful and approachable. Myboss was awesome. My job was challenging yet rewarding. I loved getting bonuses. The benefits were top notch.
What I dislike about the company
most women were put on phone duty, without regards to their workload or ability. favoritism was a little in your face for some managers. Change was not welcome even when it was really needed.
