Support from Management
The shift supervisor needs further training in managing others. At times he is very rude towards his team. He puts his emotions in the way of getting the job done effectively. If you want people to respect and follow your lead you must treat them respectfully. For one can catch more bees with honey then with rotten fruits. Now I'm not saying be a push over by no means. However being a tyrant while leading isn't good at all. Also management of the department isn't understanding towards any situation. For example I stay in an apartment complex which the washing machine unit is broken right now. So I was unable to wear my new uniform to work. However I still came to work on time in our older style uniform which has my company name on it and was told by management not to return to work if I don't have on the correct uniform. Now yes I do understand this however I have never had this issue before nor am I on any corrective actions for anything. I'm always going above and beyond for the EVS department. That being said "Don't come to work". I just think it is ridiculous that the Lead supervisor's can wear the old style uniforms for months now or no uniform at all. Yet I can't until I'm able to get to a coin laundry. That is really disheartening.
Seems that every shift is working against the other only unity is on the shift one may work on and it should not be that way. Makes work very stressful.
