Support from management
My supervisor is fantastic and the best boss I have ever worked for.
It truly depends on the administrator.
Freedom to work independently
It truly depends on your job. Most employees outside of administrators have no voice.
The district is hush hush and is run based on Union mentality.
There is no gender bias in the district.
Attitude towards older colleagues
If the job performance warrants continued employment then their is no maltreatment of older employees. We have a 89 year old working for the district.
Professional development is self directed and the responsibility of the employee financially.

I believe my job compensation is fair.
Office / Work Environment
The work environment is average.
It depends on the administrator.
Working for the district is fantastic as I work when my kids are in school and am home when they are on break.
I like working for the school district as with any job there is always room for improvement.
My job is stable so long as I continue to perform.

Yes we have a safety committee that meets regularly.
My job with the school district is mildly challenging. Pretty much anyone could learn my job.

Suggestions for improvement
- Employee recognition. Promotion of job opportunities outside of district email and the district website. More communication regarding who was hired for a job. Promotion of employee health and wellness.
What I like about the company
I have thoroughly enjoyed working for the school district. It was an easy transition from being a stay at home mom. I began as a sub and have worked my way into a permanent job with part time hours. Promotion opportunities are available as jobs are vacated.
What I dislike about the company
The union mentality restricts employees from putting their 'all' into jobs. Working beyond contract hours is frowned upon without prior consent. Creativity is muted due to it being a union.
