Support from management
Layed off after 18 yr.s of loyal service, H.R. dept. advised & supported that I terminate a disguntled & very depressed employee. With alot of documentation to support reasons given.
The employee sued the company & myself as employee's supervisor, Employee settled out of court for a very small amount. Statek waited acceptable amount of time & layed me off, reason given was economic reasons. I was the only one layed off & was forced to sign a document saying I wouldn't sue Statek in order to recieve severance pay of 18 weeks.
Suggestions for improvement
- Different company heads driving the business. The people who originally started Statek were again forced out due to age.The orignial company heads were very much concerned for all their employees, Felt very much like a family company , Thought I would retire at Statek. The new company heads had another decision in mind.

Forced senior older employee's to retire early. They were in my opinion were shady & NOT loyal in return to a employee (myself) that was very loyal to Statek, extremely disappointing....
