The company is looking out for the employee group as they watch the bottom dollar.
Support from management
The leadership strives to do their best, although sometimes it appears the leadership is struggling amongst one another.
Teamwork is not a term understood by most here.
Freedom to work independently
It has been my experience one can have as much autonomy as they want if they are willing to be responsible for their work.
Communication is an area where major growth should occur.
I'd give them only a 1/4 of a star if I could. This is a company run with a 1940 attitude towards women. There is a female CFO she developed a dress code restricting what women where not men. Without any thought to the inequity of it.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Our workforce is primarily an older workforce, the concern are they passing on their tribal knowledge so others can take over when/if needed.
The company is lacking in career planning/advancement opportunities.
Overall compensation for your work
Salary and benefits are consistent with like companies in the area. Except the salary disparity between men and women.
Social issues are not at the fore front of any plan.
Work life balance is very much up to the individual in most cases.
Image is consistent with what is happening in the company.
The company overall is stable with only one area having a high turn overrate.
They attempt to do this.
The company strives to maintain all OSHA standards.
We produce large technical machines, used in the can industry and known for quality around the world.
Inclusive / Diverse
Diversity exists but more by happenstance than plan.
Suggestions for improvement
- better communication, more teamwork, respect for both genders.
What I like about the company
Most people want to do a good job. Most managers/supervisors are very easy to work with if you do your job.
What I dislike about the company
The inequity women face. It is a standing joke if you are woman you will never be paid fairly or listened to because you will always need the help of a man. (different words of course)
