Support from Management
Management functioned in a relatively oppressive environment. Although they promoted an "open door" policy, it was commonly known there were certain people in management that you didn't anger or cross. Many promotions were based on personal likes rather than ability. This was observed as an across the board practice within the company.
Suggestions for improvement
- Don't treat people like they have no value. Incorporate diversity training to become more culturally aware and diverse.
