Need to Truly Diversify Company
The company is much more invested in making their customers happy which marginalized the wellbeing of their number one fans---their employees!
Has culture that encourages job shadowing and applying for their positions within the company. However what was vastly disappointing is the managers' ability to manipulate job application process for a different position. I experienced that all too well.
Suggestions for improvement
- 1) Cultural humility needs to be adapted in order to grow the company. SCU benefits off from People of Color's patronage but purposefully not accommodating community members is unprofessional. 2) Be transparent and communicate with subordinates. Many times I had to find out crucial pieces of information through my fellow teammates instead of management or higher up. 3) Increase pay of tellers to match what you are demanding out of their time. Many many times tellers cannot leave work on time even after a 10 hour shift due to serving on customers first AT ALL COSTS.
What I like about the company
I liked having the ability and autonomy to help customers that needed your help and Finacial education. It felt great being rewarded with compliments and referrals.
What I dislike about the company
Lack of cultural diversity and the unwillingness to make the effort to sit down and talk to subordinates about real company issues.
