Management micro managed and did give clear or realistic direction to team members.
Level of Autonomy
Workload was not fairly distributed nor was comision divided fairly.
poor communications regarding instructions and training from management
No support from regional or immediate manager for advancement within the company.
Suggestions for improvement
- Corporate needs to Gain more control of how management at each community is treating staff and compensating with commissions, work load etc. I feel their was no support for hourly employee's at the communities. HR needs to provide more support to hourly staff and find out what needs and concerns that the staff has. Provide an anonymous review for hourly to complete with the manager not knowing this is being done. I felt I had no one to go to with boarder line illegal demands from management and unprofessional behavior. A simple questionaire possibly. I was expected to work during my lunch break while being punched out. Other staff members worked off the clock in order to get work completed and not go into overtime. Staff was strictly reminded daily not to get overtime for any reason what so ever even if the work load required it. Often times staff provided their own tools to complete work whether it was administrative or maintenance. Many times staff would be asked to run errands in their own vehicles and not get reimbursement for millage.
