Support from management
There was minimal support. Buy your own tools, software, etc.
Feedback was exceptionally hard to get. Product and idea pitches were most often met with silence.
It was difficult to push the company forward. As soon as something "worked" it was essentially locked in. Unless you would invest in the tools and do the work in your own time to prove something was viable it was not to be pursued.
