I always had this constant fear that the business may go under
Support from management
Our duties were clear but there were some unrealistic expectations about obtaining goals
Overtime commitment came from only a few and it was not rewarded
Very poor communication in what was occurring in the upper managment compared to production
It was very difficult to make any movement
There were instances where I was asked to work 60-70 hours a week and while I received OT pay I felt overworked and slighted
Not many people talk well about the company
I never felt safe, not sure if I would have a job from one day to the next
Inclusive / Diverse
Ideas are shared but rarely used
Suggestions for improvement
- Hire one true HR person Promote ideas and changes and follow up Better cross training and team building
What I like about the company
I felt the work was challenging and I enjoyed most of the people I worked with.
What I dislike about the company
I felt at times that there were fellow workers that needed to be disciplined or talked to about their lack of effort on the job. I also feel that I really only knew my job and did not know the other workings of the company. I always felt that our group was excluded from all the others.
If ideas for change were mentioned or discussed, very rarely was it followed up and did not go far.
There really needs to be one true Human Resource Manager and not three people doing the job.
I felt overworked. Once I came on at Surdex I was rarely off of overtime. While I didn't mind working the time I would have liked help from others in my department but that rarely happened.
