to be honest, I'm not a fan of the company's metric performance system. Sure, it kept people who were doing a bad job from staying employed, but if they decided to cut staff, they went by how well you did your job alone, not just if you were respectful to customers and coworkers, or how close to retirement you were. It kept people who were looking to gain valuable experience, or even get further in the company from doing just that.
Support from Management
My specific manager was pretty laid back, and was no-nonsense and after getting to know him, approachable. The other team manager, however, seemed to not want to do any work or deal with unruly customers when they were being problematic. It's generally hit or miss with management on who fits who
