Swedish needs to realize that their employees are their most important asset.

I feel that I work with an amazing team and have wonderful managers.
What I dislike
I feel that Swedish has lost its way and realization that their employees are their most important asset. Their recent cost cutting is having a huge impact on patient care and they just don’t seem to care. The cuts they are negotiating and way they are treating contract negotiations with the employee union also shows their complete disregard for their employees.
Suggestions for improvement
Realize that the employees are the reason patients some there for care. Take care of your employees, it’s the only way to keep your best people. They need fair wages, retirement benefits and paid time off.
Teamwork and culture within our department is excellent.
I think Swedish as a whole is doing a poor job of communication with their employees. They have been making a lot of cuts within departments and then spending massive amounts on unnecessary things such as making employees wear matching scrubs.
It can be challenging working with very sick patients and dealing with the schedule when it is extremely busy.
