Limited checks/balances regarding opportunity creation, leading to rewarding inflated results and not recognizing hard, honest efforts. It is the easy way out for managers, and helps managers remain lazy and removed from day to day activities/struggles of reps.
Support from Management
Some Managers are inexperienced and think too highly of themselves. These managers often feel entitled, given their titles, and have trouble checking ego. I made no secret of my disdain for some of the management at symatec.
