Are you a Current or Former Employee? Former job since 2014
Suggestions for improvement
- Start paying the employee's more in regards to surrounding areas. You might have an easier time attracting more talent instead of desperately starting incentive programs to get it. You demand workers week after week give up personal time for the business, yet never show appreciation to them or compensate them for it. Stop making excuses about the budget and raises when highly paid people are promoted. And lets be fair, no one is going to take a title advancement with more responsibility, visibility and accountability for no compensation. Either stop promoting so many senior folks or start sharing the wealth a little. It's hypocritical to do one and not the other. While economically it might be feasible on the books to give the select few a raise, it does not inspire the rest and causes resentment. Which is why so many people kept leaving Talbots for greener fields.
I like about the employer
I liked my team and my manager. I actually liked my job and some of the opportunities I had.
