- The situation I described above is all too common and familiar. Recruiters and companies have become very unprofessional in their dealings with prospective candidates.
Make sure you contact every candidate whether you're going to move forward with them or not. If the decision is not to move forward, provide a mechanism so that candidates can be informed specifically, not just the generic, "We have candidates who more closely fit our requirements." That's meaningless. Tell us which requirement(s) we didn't meet and give us a chance to appeal.
