Store management was very supportive, there was little sense of that from the franchisee.
Career development consists of becoming an assistant manager or store manager.
Overall compensation for your work
Delivery drivers are paid based on minimum wage inside the store and at a lower wage plus tips outside of the store. This particular store has a good residential delivery area, but a very bad state university delivery area. I was an evening delivery driver trying to subsidize my full-time job which was in decline due to economic decline. After 7:00PM to 8:00PM residential dwindled and virtually all deliveries went to the university and were a financial loss. I made as many as 30 deliveries to the university in a night and came away with less than $5 in tips. Drivers are compensated for mileage, which pays for fuel, but little towards vehicle upkeep.
