Former FreelancerWorked at TARGA RESOURCES LLC in Houston, AL.

What I like

Parking or bus pass paid by company, a fairly casual dress code, importance of continued education

What I dislike

No work/life balance, lack of employee appreciation and perks, poor behavior and work habits of some seem to be overlooked causing discord

Suggestions for improvement

Offer flex time and/or the opportunity to telecommute; even if only 1-2 days per week. Show appreciation and empower your employees. Re-evaluate the amount of PTO offered. Stand by your mission statement and core values.

I had some great coworkers that were happy to answer questions, give direction with a thorough explanation, and even ask if I needed help when they had some spare time; while others would “throw you under the bus” at their first opportunity.

Work-Life Balance

There is no work/life balance. This question is almost comical.

Support from management

Non existent

Freedom to work independently

Micro management

Gender Equality

Still somewhat of a “good ol boys” mentality.

Office / Work Environment

I worked in a cubicle while employed at Targa, I’ve heard they have since moved locations and have gone to the currently popular “open concept” work stations.

Overall compensation for your work
