The culture could use some work but the office is making strides to make it better
Support from management
Sometimes not enough and sometimes too much, there are people that should stay in the department that they are in charge of
They solve conflicts but do not prevent them. Their policy is nothing nice to say dont say it at all and things tend to fester
Freedom to work independently
In some sections yes and in others no, due to the fact that we are growing right now and have a lot of new employees coming in everyday
The communicate really well in this, keep us updated on thing and if something is wrong tried to think of ways to solve the problems
Very much, they definitely go by a presons ability
Attitude towards older colleagues
They even work with older people for part time or stretch their hours over more days cause they know that they are good workers
They are no further opportunities for people, once a supervisor gets some one good they dont want to let them go, or if a higher position is available in the office they hire outside people instead of looking inward
Overall compensation for your work
Sometime I have be asked to do more than what my position is and I have not even decided a thank you let alone any compensation for me stepping up to the plate
Office / Work Environment
Could use more vents in areas of the shop, lots of powders and dust.
We do recycle but I believe we could do better by looking in to solar power
Even though we are busy right now they always work with their employees if something comes up and over time is really mandatory
I enjoy my job but I feel that others are being held back for better jobs just because they are too good for the job they are in now
I admit I know my job and I believe I am good an it but now days everyone is replaceable so it does not make me feel stable
During a fire, some exits would be difficult for people with a handicap
We even play games to educate us on saftey
I enjoy a challenge in trying to figure out how to get new product to work in the machine but it's a problem when people that are not suppose to be and let the people that work in that area set things up
Inclusive / Diverse
Some people do and others dont, some people it's their way and no other way
Suggestions for improvement
- Maybe a bigger of second factory, things are getting a little cramped with how much we are growing.
What I like about the company
Just when you get working with a good team of people things get done better and smoothly. Production goes up and you actually feel good about yourself and feel like you accomplished something.
What I dislike about the company
The office need more work on communication and departments need to work on letting people go so they can have the option of growing instead of staying stuck in one place.
