The environment does not lend well to information sharing. Each employee is encouraged to concentrate only in a specific area even when possessing valuable insight into another.
Support from management
Management is almost non-existent. There is no real leadership at this organization.
There are many instances where it has been observed that employees actually work not in concert with each other which appears to be against the greater interests of the company. Teamwork needs to be promoted at the management level.
Freedom to work independently
Independent work is encouraged and is the normal tendency.
Communications are very poor within the organization. As a result of a severe lack of information sharing, it becomes difficult to know what has been done or what is planned.
There is no sign of gender inequality.
Attitude towards older colleagues
There is no sign of age descrimination.
There is little to no hope for career advancement in this environment.
Overall compensation for your work
The company was at one time a world-class organization. Lately, compensation has not been commensurate with contribution.
Office / Work Environment
There is a very comfortable working environment.
Strict schedules lend to inappropriate resources available when necessary and frustrated employees who are chastised for not being physically present at a certain time.
The company has established a brand equity over many decades of operation.
There is very little reason given for employee termination.
The handicapped would be able to navigate fairly well.
The environment appears to be safe.
There is very little interest in real investment in development with little to no budget for projects.
Inclusive / Diverse
There is a wide array of different cultures represented and different ideas available.
Suggestions for improvement
- The leadership of the organization requires great improvement. Managers must establish a deeper relationship with their subordinates so that a deeper appreciation for the the work can be maintained. In many cases, management is nearly non-existent leaving staff to feel isolated and uncertain of their future with the organization.
What I like about the company
The company offers decent benefits and a comfortable working environment.
What I dislike about the company
A professional employee is made to feel as an hourly wage worker when greater emphasis is placed upon issues that are seemingly less pertinent than the operations of the company and the job at hand.
