- 1. Reward employees based upon performance instead of popularity. 2. Mean what you say, prove your commitment to change to a disillusioned, unhappy workforce.
I like about the employer
"Stretch Projects" definitely enhanced my professional growth during my tenure at Taylor-Wharton Cryogenics.
I dislike about the employer
Disclaimer - This was not my personal experience, but my personal observation of others.
The company expected far too much from their employees, disregarding their employee's family life and time spent on the job. One employee in my department spent most of the year working evenings and weekends in order to stay on top of her role. This was due to management structural changes within the organization that resulted in Quality Dept. being grossly understaffed and this employee's responsibilities were split between customer service and Quality functions. During this employee's yearly review process, I rated her as 'Exceptional" in several areas concerning performance, responsibility and leadership. I was forced, yes - forced, to change this employee's review to "Meets Expectations". I left the company within 30 days after this event.
