We had to constantly talk about how great TD was. Fake, felt like brainwashing.
They tried. But my branch's GM was legitimately psychotic which ruined it for everyone else.
Other emlployees would snipe referrals if they heard you and steal your points. It was fine just for handling operations though.
People constantly listened in to make sure you were following all their stupid rules, like using customer's name three times per transaction...
The culture is pretty solid, as a goal overall. Individual fiefdoms exist and fly in the face of this culture thought.
Mixed, depends on the area. Most managers have been there a while and have a "circle the wagons" approach when there is trouble. It varies.
It depends on the team. Since most mid to upper management is from outside, there is a lot of competition.
