TD Bank experience report

It depends on management wether you will enjoy TD or not. I was not given enough training and always had to work weekend

3.56

Internal Communication

A lot of communication throughout the company. If you worked hard you were recognized and rewarded. Managers didn't always recognize it though

Attitude towards older colleagues

Was told by management that someone shouldn't have gotten a management position because they were too old

Office / Work Environment

Was always cold, felt stuffy in there, computer programs didn't work a lot and no one would help me fix them. Always just had to kind of figure out things on my own (faked it)

Work-Life Balance

Shifts were too long. Would always have to work closing and weekends because management didn't want to

Challenging Work

Wasn't trained enough so most of the time I didn't know what I was doinv

Suggestions for improvement

  • Longer breaks, focus on things other than walking around the lobby and hounding people when they walk in the door. Instead focus on making sure employees know what they are doing

What I like about the company

Mostly all employees I worked with were easy to work with and good people. You are given a lot of PTO but they make it confusing to cash in. Could be a positive, depends on your manager. Good pay

What I dislike about the company

I think half hour lunch breaks are not long enough for an 11 hour shift. If you are working more than 7 hours there should be an hour lunch break. A half hour is barely enough time. I was a CSR and there were 2 other CSR's and 2 managers that worked on that side, so all together there were 5 of us. I was put on every weekend and if I requested off I would get passive aggressive comments thrown at me. I think it would be more fair to rotate the 5 workers each weekend since only 2 would need to be there. Also most importantly, provide more training. I worked there for a year and a half and still had no clue what I was doing 60% of the time. When I asked questions I would mostly be told to call support channel. After my week long training which only went over basic things, I was thrown into customer contact without background knowledge. I felt like an idiot most of the time
