Suggestions for improvement
- Collaborative communication and two way involvement between staff, middle management and upper management. Develop and revamp policies thoroughly with a plan of implementation (again communicating and collaborating with staff about said changes) before all of the interim things take place. People are more apt to adjust to change when they can see the whole picture, or are involved in it, and can be shared all the pieces of the puzzle or rationale about why things are changing, how things are changing, and how it will benefit them and the safety of their patients. Utilize the staff when making decisions or policy changes, we are working in the trenches and sometimes have GREAT ideas about things. Value us, Hear us.
What I like about the company
the Team of co-workers are the best. If I didn't have them through this difficult job, I would have been gone to a different company a long time ago. They are the only thing that keeps me here.
What I dislike about the company
Management. Period. Changes are made before policies are approved or corrected, the cart before the horse, so to speak. And safety can be an issue because of it. Communication is also lacking. I hope that strides will be made to improve all modes of communication between management, middle management and staff. The staff are doing the work on the ground level and when changes come from management at any level without staff input, the seesaw balance is off, often most of their decisions seem to be financially based without looking at more of the big picture of patient safety and satisfaction.
