Laid off a friend without consulting with engineers; the recent layoffs came from the top management and they did not consult with anyone. Not only my friend was laid-off with a notice of 1 day, the promised Severance Packet is nowhere. They recently moved the entire operation of Payroll and HR to Workday from ServiceNow. Their database apparently consists of only current employees with no previous or laid off employees. It is outrageous; at least they should pay the laid off people their Severance packets. My friend has signed all the papers and sent it long back and still no response.
