More managers than employees
Support from management
Management gets judged on how much money they save therefore nothing gets updated. Still working with technology from the 90’s. Reliability is preached but not followed and management does a lot of delegating tasks that lower ranked employees should not be doing.
Freedom to work independently
There is no working independently at Texas Instruments.
Few females get to management positions
Attitude towards older colleagues
Most employees have been here over 20 years.
Office / Work Environment
Thinking inside the box is encouraged.
Texas Instruments does not have enough process operators to cover other operators time off. You essentially swap out days with operators and never truly get any vacation time.
To few employees at night.
Inclusive / Diverse
Very diverse which is one the good things about this company
Suggestions for improvement
- Add employees and update Scada systems to a current technology. Company currently has a road map to update the systems by 2020 but that technology is already outdated.
