Motivation is strong, but they are still trying to identify themselves.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Communicate clearly and precisely. Compensate your employees with a competitive wage. Hire better people, and train them thoroughly and accurately.

What I like about the company

The flexibility, if you can not make it into work, or you must leave due to family emergency, they are very considerate. They respect individuals personal lives.

What I dislike about the company

Many employees have experienced discrepancies in pay and errors in paycheck deductions, there is not a regular schedule, and there are communication issues when it comes to benefits.

There is none. If you have no problem with comprising your ethics you'll be great.

Leadership does not communicate.

Teamwork

No, the distribution of work is not equitable and the enterprise rules are not the same for everyone. There are certain employees that are exempt from rules because of their relationships with members of management.

Freedom to work independently

You are trusted to work independently, but your work product is not your own and will be claimed by senior manager.

Internal Communication

No, there is a limited exchange of communication between the ELT and staff and as a result people are jumping ship.

Gender Equality

They are equally not provided the appropriate training to do their jobs inadequately.

Attitude towards older colleagues

There aren't many.

Career Development

There is none unless you are willing to compromise your ethics and be a "enterprise man" that exude the same traits as current leadership.

Overall compensation for your work

Terrible compensation, and insurance benefits increased in multiple states the salary is only 8-10% higher than the poverty rate for a family of 5 after taxes and insurance payments.

Office / Work Environment

There was a massive expansion completed and no one is utilizing the new desks. They could have kept the individuals worth keeping, instead of firing them and increasing everyone's workload.

Environmental Friendliness

Yes there is paper and ink recycling available, but no campaigns to push environmental consciousness.

Work-Life Balance

Non-existent, because you have a company issued phone and laptop you are at their beck and call. Oftentimes this is outside of your working hours especially during winter months. Don't expect acknowledgement or any additional compensation.

Company Image

When I started I was extremely proud, but now after seeing the behind-the-scenes I am crestfallen. Who do I work for? What are you calling yourself this week? Is the consensus of corporate clients and service providers. Just like any other undertaking the launch of the new enterprise was done poorly and the market doesn't identify who we are.

Job Security

There are constant changes without communication, and you're not promised any security in your job or the actions of leadership to ensure your successful retention.

The company doesn't understand diversity, nor does it support it.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Get rid of your ELT, with the exception of The interim CEO and start from scratch. The amount of lawsuits that you could have filed against you is mounting like a powder keg. HR is a joke. Do not take your grievances to them, because when they are in office they are not present. Your concerns and problems are not maintained confidentially and will become fodder for office gossip among internal management on-site.

What I like about the company

They provide a meager living to pay my bills and take care of my family albeit minimally.

What I dislike about the company

The ELT do not communicate and it leaves employees not confident in their futures with the company and job security.

There is a lot of favoritism between certain supervisors toward who works. You will get layed off of you do not make friends with the crew you're assigned to. They have no regard for family situations that come up in a workers life and will fire you but those same people take off however long they need to take care of their families. Also be prepared to WORK all day long with no guarantee of what time you'll get off. So if you have children to pick up by a certain time you'll have to choose the job after awhile or your family.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Get supervisors that have best interest at heart. Not just their best interest but the workers as well. And not treat them like they are just robots.

What I like about the company

They have some good cook outs for the employees after awhile. Sometimes you get to go somewhere for lunch maybe the commissary.

What I dislike about the company

Where do I start.
1. The favoritism
2. The force of being"apart of the crew" to keep your job
3. No matter how good of a job you do there's always favoritism that shows up.
4. Some supervisors want you to work until you fall out and come in and do it again day after day if not your fired. All to make the "#1 crew" title.
5. Managers know all of this.

Poor leadership and lack of follow through on commitments

  • Better management choices and more training for the right people. Also, if they paid employees for their tenure they would keep them longer.

What I like about the company

They are a well established Company with a a great reputation in the landscape industry.

What I dislike about the company

They do not service the internal customer. No room for advancement or raises. Poor leadership brings down the moral of the team.

No home/work balance. Employees are over-worked for the pay they receive. Manager works 40 hours but expects employees to work many more hours. Manager never satisfied. No job security.
