Suggestions for improvement

  • Better communication with employees, promote/support better work-life balance.

What I like about the company

flexible working from home when my kids are sick, friendly superiors who care about me personally, freedom in work duties (work independently).

What I dislike about the company

Runs lean in my department - I am overburdened with a workload that forces me to work 45-50 hours a week, while others in the same department are only working 40 with plenty of time to socialize with coworkers during the workday, while others in other departments are considered full time with the same benefits don't even have to work 40 hours a week. Other departments are highly ''favored'' compared to mine. Tech departments staff are allowed to run with projects while not designing the back end reporting supports I need to do my job efficiently and effectively so I end up doing a lot of work manually with much more stress than I should have to bear.

Company Culture

Management is trained to respond to employees with the company rhetoric. Getting a straight answer during a discussion is impossible.

Support from management

Managers are not trained to manage. They are promoted because they have stuck around long enough.

Internal Communication

It is like being in high school. Most communication happens behind your back.

Attitude towards older colleagues

I am a former older employee. I was doing two peoples job at the time I worked for the Buckle ( they now have 3 people doing it ) and I was not fairly compensated or given more time to complete multiple tasks. My manager and her management support team talked down to me.
