Company Culture

Very diverse and you get to see individuals' personalities.

Support from management

Expectations are set, goals are communicated clearly and employees are not involved in the decision making process.

Teamwork

Teamwork makes the dream work; employees watch each other's backs when needed and we kept it professional at all times.

Freedom to work independently

Yes, however, some did micromanage.

Internal Communication

Yes. We got emails on a daily basis recognizing employees going above and beyond expectations.

Gender Equality

Women are treated equally however, women do not have the same career opportunities. We were more discouraged than encouraged to look at the bigger picture in moving forward.

Office / Work Environment

Yes. Sometimes it gets too hot in the summer and sometimes it gets too cold in the winter. It happens.

Environmental Friendliness

No, not really.

Work-Life Balance

Definitely not. It's more 99% work and 1% family. Not really pressure to work more hours but the fact that we got frowned upon if there was an emergency and we had to take off. Being understaffed is an understatement.

Company Image

I was proud of working for a membership only, fine dining establishment.

Job Security

At the times, yes. Towards the couple of months nearing me leaving, definitely not.

Handicapped Accessibility

Yes, they definitely do. And they have gone above and beyond to assist with people with disabilities.

Workplace Safety

Yes, absolutely.

Challenging Work

Not too challenging to where we couldn't handle anything. I was proud of the work that I did.

Inclusive / Diverse

They value diversity, however the opinions weren't 100% supported.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Treat others how you want to be treated. There was no room for improvement when employees were being belittled and discouraged.

What I like about the company

I worked as an employee and what I liked was how diverse the club was. The cultures that clashed, we had worked well with each other.

What I dislike about the company

As an employee, what I didn't like was how management portrayed itself to members whereas to employees, it was like a two-faced type thing. Over the years (I worked for almost 3 years), it got progressively worse.
