Support from management
There is no support from management even though they think they are very supportive. They do not want to here the negative. Only looking at the dollar signs not the staff needs.
One department does not know what the other one is doing
Extremely poor communication. You are responsible for things and you are not kept informed.
Even though there are women in some management positions, it is really a boys club. Women do not get the same rate of pay as men. They say differently but I have facts as to a male in the same position making $20,000 more.
Attitude towards older colleagues
They have gotten rid of a lot of folks who have been there for years; not always based on performance
Overall compensation for your work
They continue to lay off people. They call it reduction in force. No warning. You are just told you don't have a job.
They don't care about staff safety. Many programs are understaffed which lead to safety issues.
Suggestions for improvement
- Need an administration that cares about staff not just the money.
