Suggestions for improvement

  • I am lucky to be working for a company that has provided me with a state of the art facility with new equipment for us to get our daily job done that I honestly would not make any improvements. Maybe in the future I would be willing to say what improvements I think the company could use, but as for now I think chamberlain group had done an awesome job for me and my fellow employees.

What I like about the company

My personal experiences with chamberlain group have been nothing but great! They are flexible on work hours, they worked with me when I had no caregiver for my daughters. We have a great brand new warehouse facility, with air conditioning! Every warehouse I have worked for employees always complained about the coolers. Having air conditioning is awesome when your doing hard labor work in a warehouse setting. On top of the brand new facility, was having brand new equipment to make our job easier and more efficient. Brand new sit down forklifts, brand new walkie rider jacks, and brand new stand up extended fork lifts, and we even got enough of them for our employees. Going into work in past warehouse jobs we always ran into the problem of not having enough equipment for all of the employees in the warehouse. It’s great to come into work and have everything you need to get your job done everyday safely and efficiently. This is by far the best company I’ve ever worked for, plus the benefits are amazing, it takes care of me, my wife, and my two children. I feel comfortable in life knowing that this company is going to take care of me and my family until I retire and even beyond that. I would refer this company to anyone looking for work in a warehouse setting, I’ve worked in about 6 different warehouses in my 12 year career in warehouse and distribution. Chamberlain is hands down the best one I have worked at. My personal experiences with chamberlain group are all positive. I have yet to have a negative experience here at chamberlain group and I feel comfortable knowing that it will continue to provide me with positive personal experiences until the day I retire. Thank you chamberlain group, and I look forward to continuing my career at this awesome company.

What I dislike about the company

Like I said in my personal experiences answer, I honestly do not disapprove of anything about this job it is the best company I have ever worked for

Company Culture

This used to be a happy place to work, but new management has made it a nightmare. They play favorites and promote the rudest, most arrogant and misogynist men with zero social skills. Their idea of motivation is really just harassment and threatening workers with termination if they don't work faster and harder than is humanly possible.

Support from management

The old management was enlightened and acted like they cared about workers, the new management thinks workers are machines with no needs to use the restroom, take breaks or rests. Everyone is being intimidated to work off the clock to be more productive, which is illegal.

Teamwork

I don't even know the names of the people on my team. The Star employees throw other agents under the bus and pump themselves up as super stars in order to get good surveys.

Freedom to work independently

Employees are treated like naughty children and are given no voice in how things are done.

Internal Communication

The only communication is intimidation and threats of termination if you don't work off the clock to get all your work done.

Gender Equality

Extremely sexist environment.

Attitude towards older colleagues

There are a lot of people who only feel smart when they're putting others down. The attitude is not to help and support fellow workers, but to humiliate them and show them how much smarter you are.

Overall compensation for your work

The pay is good for Tucson, but it does not compensate for the level of disrespect you must tolerate to work there.

Office / Work Environment

This used to be a really grapeat place to work. Now they're trying to hide the fact that they have bed bugs. They're harassing people who speak up about some of the senseless policy changes and trying to force anyone who can still think for themselves to quit.

Work-Life Balance

You have to work a 10 hour day and split days so you never get fully rested. It'/ almost impossible to get time off that isn't scheduled 6 months in advance. You have to try to trade shifts with someone to get time off which is usually impossible. They expect perfect attendance and have no empathy for working moms who need to attend to children.

Company Image

The company image is good for now, but new management is doing everything possible to change that by focusing on speed of handling calls and not solving the customer's problem.

Job Security

Management uses a constant threat of termination to keep workers passive and docile.

Handicapped Accessibility

The phones are on the second floor so it's very hard on disabled workers

Workplace Safety

It seems safe, except for whatever chemicals they use to kill the bed bugs.

Challenging Work

The work is only challenging because the training is so inadequate.

Inclusive / Diverse

Women are looked down on and treated patronizingly by male co-workers. I personally witnessed a male worker tap a woman on the forehead and patronizingly tell her to "think"

Suggestions for improvement

  • Do not allow the person who wants to be OM to continue his policies of employee harassment and intimidation. Create a channel for employees to have a voice in policies that concern their work life. Eliminate mandatory 10 hour days.

What I like about the company

The benefits are good and it was a really great place to work when I started.

What I dislike about the company

New management has made my work life unbearable and unnecessarily stressful. Employees have no voice whatsoever, are asked to meet impossible goals and not treated with respect, especially women
