Suggestions for improvement

  • I would either have a larger monthly allowance for classroom materials ora larger supply for all teachers to share.

What I like about the company

The administration at work not only accepts suggestions/ ideas/criticism from EVERY staff member (even those lowest on the totem pole), they encourage it. Our company is highly focused on teamwork and positive vibes, and that translates into good service and, as a result, good revenue. If I ever feel stressed or frustrated in my work area, I can confide in any one of my supervisors and their reaction is NEVER defensive. Quite the opposite, actually. Administration in my company is focused on showing understanding, having empathy, and problem- solving in a cooperative and active way. Communication is key in my company, and every effort is made to ensure that our communication is the best it can be. We have a closed, staff- only Facebook group that each staff member is required to join upon employment. Each of our four locations has a front office communication book in which any and all notes are documented, which each staff member reads at the beginning of their shift each day. This is the same for each individual classroom as well. Our policies and procedures are clear and enforced, meaning nobody ever feels out of control or helpless. My job is really, really amazing!

What I dislike about the company

The pay scale is very hard to live with. That being said, I am in complete understanding that it's not my company, but rather the entire childcare/ early childhood education industry across the country that has this issue.
