What employees say

Employees like

Being a positive influence with patients and families. Making their time with us as comfortable while educating on care.
Working with grateful families and patients being able to watch them progress and get better.
I have seen many patients and families without any other means of special healthcare for a loved one find a safe haven here. With breakthrough and innovative surgeries and healthcare they have been able to extend a persons life and/or cure them, when there was no other place of hope to count on. Even though it is a high stress environment, we understand it is because of our patients that come for care, from all around the globe, that we ...
Everyone is so friendly and helpful, training was easy. You are constantly appreciated and thanked for your services and helpfulness. there are plenty of opportunities for advancement.
I work for wonderful bosses who care about their employees. There is room for professional growth and I am working with some extremely brilliant people. I am very happy with my job.

Employees don't like

The highest leadership. For a hospital run by "nurses" there is little respect for staff. There are absolutely no perks for being senior staff.
The illusion that employees have a voice. The lack of seeking outside people for higher level positions.
Like most places that are big communication needs some tweeking. Other than that management could use classes on how to handle issues with employees.
The growth of the company is rapid and sometimes it may feel like you're being left behind. It's important that the employee keeps up to speed.
The constant policy change. It is very frustrating to deal with when one needs to know the correct information for patients and their families

Suggestions for improvement

Policies that increase diversity amongst committees, and increase the diversity amongst academic leaders, whether it's physicians, doctorates, lab owners, etc.
To increase more management opportunities for employees that recently graduated with management skills and abilities.
I wish we didn't have to pay for parking. The hospital is making money off of us merely showing up to work.
Be more conscious about environmental impact and work towards being more sustainable.
I think employees should be monitored a little more to make sure jobs are being done
